The First IEEE Workshop on Advances in Network Optimization and Management (ANOM)



Software defined networking (SDN) provides network communities with innovational networking ideas, while the emerging fifth-generation (5G) wireless networks may ensure that various contemporary wireless applications can be timely and satisfactorily served in any time, any place, and any way. Today, SDN and 5G networks are rapidly developing. These new networking paradigms bring forth many challenges for network optimization and management. For example, the traditional network optimization and management methods may be unavailable or seriously inoperative for these new networking paradigms. In such a case, the new advances of network optimization and management are needed to provide assistance to network normal operations.


This workshop will build on its success to address challenges in performing and realizing network optimization and management for these new networking paradigms, and solicit novel solutions. We invite original contributions that address an new vision of the advances of network optimization and management. This workshop is expected to attract a number of high quality papers containing the latest project ongoing results. On the other hand, the latest projects results will attract many related researchers to attend the workshop for further discussion.

Submission Procedure

The workshop accepts only novel, previously unpublished papers. All submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of six (6) printed pages (10-point font) including figures without incurring additional charges (maximum 1 additional page with over-length page charge if accepted). Accepted and presented papers will be included in the same volume with the IEEE ICII 2019 proceedings.
